Update 4/25/2019:

A New and Improved Version 2 is Now Available at the Link Below:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3588521 Improvements to Version 2 Include: * Dovetails used on fence rails for added stability * Narrower spring cover for easier access * Slots added to base for dust removal and easy cleaning * Holder for Allen Key included for convenient use =========================================== This is an Older Version, Please See the Update and Link Above for the New Version. This thing is a versatile adjustable drill guide with a fence that can be used either as an alignment tool or a dust collector. The "cylinder" rotates and indexes to set the drill guide for any of the 6 holes. Although not a remix, I drew inspiration from Coat's drill guides (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3013962) and Aleung's remix (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3023372). This version features a "cylinder" with holes designed for 2mm, 3.6mm, 4.4mm, 5.2mm, 6.0mm, and 6.8mm drill sizes. The holes may require final dimension drilling as they do not account for the usual 3D printing surface roughness. The "cylinder" is designed to be replaced if other sizes are needed, but I have not created any additional cylinders at this time. The STEP files included make it easy to remix or add different drill sizes. Marking lines spaced at 10mm intervals on the base and fence help with alignment, along with sighting and marking holes for precise placement. Printing Suggestions: Base: Orient the base to print flat with minimal supports. The dovetails will require supports, so use the following settings: * 0.2mm resolution * Support brim (on) * Support z distance 0.24mm (same for top and bottom) * Support x y distance 1.0mm * Support overhang angle 63 degrees Other Parts: Use the same printing settings as the base, adjusting only the support settings as needed. Assembly Instructions: To assemble the guides to the base: 1. Insert the M4x40mm hex head screw into the base. 2. Add one washer and an M4 locknut to hold it in place. 3. Place the drill guide on top, then add a washer to the bottom of the well in the center of the guide. 4. Insert the spring, another washer, and an M4 locknut. 5. Tighten the last locknut just enough to secure the guides, but avoid over-tightening. To use it, pull up on the cylinder, rotate to the desired drill size, and let it settle back into place. If necessary, clean the "elephant foot" off the base of the cylinder with a file or deburring tool. The M3x12mm cap screws are used to clamp the fence in place. Use the middle holes and the holes closest to the fence for best results. Optional: glue M3 inserts into the fence holes. If you make one, please post a "make" and share any improvements you've made – no guarantees, but if I have time, I may revisit it.
