Six-Piece Burr - Interlocking Puzzle

The six-piece burr, widely referred to as "Puzzle Knot" or "Chinese Cross", holds a reputation as the most well-known and presumably the oldest of the intricate burr puzzles. This is actually a diverse family of puzzles, all sharing a similar finished shape and basic structure of their individual pieces. This particular puzzle consists of six distinct components, each piece being a square stick of equal length (at least three times its width). Upon successful completion, the pieces are arranged in a precise manner, forming three perpendicular, mutually intersecting pairs. While this concept isn't an original idea, the model and visual art were designed from scratch.
