This is my Easter-themed take on Six Men's Morris Game, which shares similarities with Morabaraba, Three Men's Morris, Nine Men's Morris, and Twelve Men's Morris - all abstract strategy games dating back before 1400 BC. Players We need two players to play this game. Equipment A game board and six pieces for each player are required. Goal The objective is to force your opponent into a situation where they have only two pieces left, or block them from making any legal moves. Gameplay Setup Phase: Players take turns placing their pieces on empty points. Regular Phase: Once all 12 pieces are in place, the game shifts to its regular phase. A player's turn consists of sliding one of their pieces along a line to an empty point. Whenever a player creates a sequence of three pieces in a row, they immediately remove one of their opponent's pieces. This can happen during either the setup or regular phases. However, if a piece is part of a string and no other piece is available for removal, it cannot be taken out. Important Note: A legal move allows a player to slide a piece one space on one turn, then back to its original spot on a subsequent turn. Winning The game ends when one player forces their opponent down to two pieces, or blocks them from making any more moves. The winner is the first player to achieve this situation.
