The inner bearing diameter should be precisely 8 mm for optimal performance. I cleverly designed the knob to be 8.05 mm in diameter, ensuring it fits snugly as a press fit. To get the perfect fit, I had to carefully sand it down myself. With its custom width, this holder is sure to accommodate most spools with ease. It's incredibly sturdy and boasts a smooth slide, thanks to just the right amount of friction. For an added bonus, I highly recommend securing two holders together using an elastic band. UPDATE: I've taken your feedback on board and cleverly designed a loop for fixing the elastic, eliminating any issues related to the stick being too small. As I haven't printed this design yet, I'll keep both files up for your convenience. UPDATE2: I've added a brand-new rail with Ø10mm holes specifically designed for fixing neodymium magnets into place. By securing these magnets using 2 screws in the box where my 3D-print is located, you can enjoy a rock-solid fixture that's easy to remove when changing filament or if the spool gets in the way.
