Sitting Lioness (Zittend Jachtluipaard) by Albéric Collin. This breathtaking, poised sculpture was crafted by renowned Antwerp-based artist Albéric Collin, a master sculptor celebrated for his striking portrayals of wild animals. Completed sometime before 1929, the bronze sculpture was donated and proudly displayed in the Zoo of Antwerp in 1953 (for those interested in visiting: it's located just in front of "Grand Café Flamingo" near the exit of the zoo). Personal project, designed to showcase one of my favorite sculptures. The model did indeed feature a color texture, but I prefer the simple white geometry and AO / cavity maps of the current render. I recommend taking a closer look at MatCap + Surface to appreciate the fine geometric detail (for some reason, the normal map isn't coming out very pronounced in the Final Render - any suggestions?). Photogrammetry scan, captured with Nikon D5300 and AF-S NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G lens, photos enhanced in Lightroom, processed in Reality Capture, model cleaned and decimated in ZBrush, platform closed in Rhino.
