On March 29th, 2012, we hosted an open house night at our Toronto makerspace where attendees and members were 3D scanned using a Kinect and ReconstructMe software. Each attendee received both an "original" and a "final" version of their scan. The final versions were cropped and cleaned for immediate 3D printing, while the original versions could be further refined using preferred 3D software. Interested parties are invited to visit our weekly open house on Thursdays from 7-10pm. To access and download the scanned files, users should scroll down to the bottom of the page. Additionally, for those looking to create their own Kinect scans, instructions can be found in this author's blog post, while Tony Buser's 3D scan cleanup tutorial offers helpful tips for more extensive cleanups.
