Sitar

Sitar

thingiverse

A sleek sitar design is being developed, with testing still underway to refine its print quality. The smallest version printed so far has been scaled up to 180% of its original size, broken down into separate pieces for easier printing. Those interested in trying it out can access the split files provided. Printing a single piece has proven challenging due to a dual extruder setup, causing supports on the raft to be dislodged by the unused nozzle about 20-30% into the print. Scaling up the design is likely to reduce these issues. At 180%, the frets are remarkably thin, roughly the width of a thumbnail and about twice as thick. Feedback on optimal print settings would be greatly appreciated. Enjoy the printing process!
