sisal scratching post stabilization

sisal scratching post stabilization

I was determined to solidify a scratching post slightly, preventing it from swaying. To achieve this, I designed stabilizing components that can be pressed over the post and secured with screws to the base or top plate. The inner diameter of these components is 108mm, ideal for posts measuring 90mm in diameter wrapped with sisal cord. Printing them at a layer thickness of 1.6-2mm, combined with an infill percentage of 20-40%, should provide sufficient strength in most situations. I successfully attached one component to the bottom and another to the top plate of a 50cm long post, and it functions perfectly for my needs.
