Siren
thingiverse
This Siren model, based on Greek mythology, showcases an aquatic appearance with some human female features but is far from beautiful. Rendered in Sculptris, it's posed to sit on a rock and sing, luring sailors to their doom. The initial test print was done without infill and 2 shells, using no support due to the printer's unique platform movement. However, some printers might face issues with the arms. A follow-up print with 10% infill was conducted in a larger size, resulting in a smoother finish. For defect fixes like pinholes, ABS/acetone "goop" can be used, but the attached pictures display the model without any finishing touches. To appreciate the intricate details of the scales and face, it's recommended to print at a size of roughly 100mm (4 inches), as indicated in the STL file.
