This thing blows me away - I disassembled it and measured everything with calipers, and the model's precision is astounding, down to a mere 0.5mm accuracy, which should be sufficient for printing custom 3D mounts for these cameras. If there's enough community interest and aftermarket support, they could potentially kill off the GoPro, all they'd need is a decent mount that actually works well. I recently managed to capture some amazing shots using my own camera, as seen in the picture from their kickstarter video - although keep in mind it's an older model since my own disassembly didn't yield exactly the same result, so I struggled getting the lens assembly apart.
