SIO2SD v1.0 Buttons
thingiverse
This 3D model, made with Tinkercad, can be edited online at https://tinkercad.com/things/6PpuaMembca. Recommended plastic for printing is PLA for strength, but watch out for possible warping at the bottom layers. The case, which has tight tolerances, holds together well by friction alone; placing the SIO2PC PCB inside might require some finesse due to its fit. Customizations may be necessary if your PCB differs from the design. Buttons were printed off-center horizontally without supports, but might need slight adjustments for better alignment. The designer suggests enhancing buttons or adding a guide to prevent wiggling. Creating supports is recommended when printing the main case due to its length. Break-away support worked well in printing. The case top should not require supports. Aesthetically, the slope around the exterior LCD could use some optimization. When closing the case, be careful not to pinch the SIO cable emerging from the female adapter due to the tight turn. This is an unavoidable design constraint.
