Sintron Prusa i3 lead screw mod
thingiverse
These files are specifically designed for use with a Sintron Prusa i3 to upgrade the Z axis to lead screws, and they work seamlessly in conjunction with Thing: 1140733.\nAfter purchasing a pair of lead screws and downloading the above Thing files, I headed straight to installation and discovered that the new parts were slightly out of alignment with my printer's frame. To resolve this issue, I created two new pieces - one for the top and one for the bottom - to move the smooth rod into its correct position at the X axis ends. The top piece completely replaces the original acrylic part, while the bottom piece sits atop the original acrylic piece.\nTo secure the bottom piece in place, longer M3 screws are required, and I've opted for 4 twenty-millimeter and 2 twenty-five-millimeter screws per side to ensure a solid fit. Although extra washers on each screw would further enhance the installation by reducing the screw length slightly, it's not strictly necessary.\nNote: In response to user feedback, I have revised the bottom pieces to make them more durable, but I haven't had the opportunity to test and verify their performance yet. Future updates will reflect any additional feedback received.
