Sintron Joystick Actuator Hack

Sintron Joystick Actuator Hack

I designed a tabletop MAME arcade cabinet using 1/2" thick MDF, featuring a Sintron joystick and arcade buttons sourced from Amazon. After installing the joystick, I realized the actuator was too small to effectively activate the leaf switches responsible for the joystick's functionality, so I modified it to properly engage the switches, gaining additional clearance in the process to press the E-ring back into place on the shaft's bottom. The actuator is secured to the shaft with its wider section at the top. I fabricated the components using PLA material, printing them at 100% on a Printrbot Simple printer. Hopefully, this tutorial will prove useful to someone looking to build their own arcade cabinet.
