Sink strainer

Sink strainer

thingiverse

A unique kitchen sink strainer design. I was looking for something distinct from what I saw on Thingiverse, so I created this honeycomb infilled model with a minimal layer structure. It was printed WITHOUT any top or bottom layers, relying solely on the strength of its honeycomb interior. Printed using ABS with 0.4mm thick layers and a modest 25% fill ratio, Zero ( 0 ) perimeter layers were also employed to emphasize the clean look of this design. At 80mm in diameter at its widest point and approximately 70mm across at the base, it should effectively serve its purpose in separating large kitchen debris. Real-world tests have shown that a high infill percentage may indeed lead to clogging, especially with coffee grounds. Therefore, I intend to craft another piece utilizing an even lower infill level of around 15-20%. As always, users must exercise their own discretion when adjusting the infill settings in order to accommodate their specific requirements and use scenarios.
