Sink Air Gap Drain with Ramp

This is an air gap cover for a kitchen sink that was previously prone to overflows, causing water to spill all over the countertop. This should never happen because it's an air gap and not a water conduit, but unfortunately, if your drain line gets clogged with food debris, water will overflow through the air gap. I experienced this firsthand when cleaning our juicer, which clogged the drain line with pulp. To prevent getting water all over the countertop in such situations, I designed a cap that has a gentle ramp to direct overflowing water back into the sink, keeping the counter dry and tidy.
