SINISTER Saw - Folding Combination Table Build (Table Saw, Router Table, Mitre Saw Stand) (Table Components)

I take you through the build of my portable combination table, a tool that can fold up to maximize space in your shop and is highly portable. This innovative table saw, router table, and mitre saw stand features interchangeable plates on the bottom similar to table saw throat plates. You can simply swap these plates to change over to a different tool or mount your mitre saw directly to the table top for a secure mitre saw stand. The table has an extension arm perfect for long pieces on the table saw or supporting long workpieces on the mitre saw. When you're done, fold it up and put it away in a convenient storage spot or move it to another location in your shop where you have more room. In this first part of the video series, I'll take you through the table portion of this build, which serves as the foundation for this versatile tool. This table features folding legs for easy storage, a multi-layered table top finished with polyurethane stain, and my interchangeable tool plate system. In the next part, I will cover the fence system, anti-kickback features (table saw splitter, featherboard), remote Ryobi battery mount, emergency stop button for the table saw, sliding mitre gauge, and storage box. Personally, I'm excited about the remote battery mount with emergency stop feature – it's a pretty slick setup. Don't miss part two! I named this project the Sinister Saw because the fence is mounted on the left-hand side of the table saw blade. In classical Latin, "sinister" means left. I chose to mount it on the left side for a specific reason: my Ryobi cordless saw has a bevel cut bracket that only rotates in one direction. When you attach it under the table, the direction of the blade dictates which side you can safely mount the fence without risking kickback. Mounting it on the left-hand side ensures safe operation. This build took considerable time and effort, but I'm happy to share my design files for free with everyone!
