Singularity Boxes: Modular Game Storage System
thingiverse
Singularity Boxes are custom-designed, 3D-printed containers engineered specifically for board game storage needs. These innovative boxes are compatible with the discontinued Bitbox system and offer several key advantages over their predecessors: increased volume, improved card storage for sleeved cards, a wider range of size options, and enhanced durability. However, the primary disadvantage is that they require 3D printing. Although the design appears straightforward, I went through numerous iterations to refine the geometry and maximize structural integrity while optimizing container volume. Initially, I expected this project to be quick and simple; however, it ended up taking significantly more time than anticipated. Despite the challenges, I'm pleased with the final result and welcome any suggestions for improvement. The lids of these Singularity Boxes are designed with a friction fit, which may cause them to be slightly difficult to attach at first, depending on your printer's tolerance. Nevertheless, after extended use, this issue typically resolves itself.
