I'm designing a C-Bot with one Z-motor driving two center-mounted Leadscrews via a GT2 belt. The leadscrews are geared down 2:1 by using a 20T gear on the motor and 40T gears on the screws. I initially wanted to incorporate Astrosyn dampers, but they dropped the Z-motor so low that the motor shaft was only engaged with the 20T gear about 5mm deep, and even then, the belt height at the motor was approximately 2mm lower than at the Leadscrew gears. To address this issue, I modified the C-Bot motor mount by increasing its height by 10mm to ensure the gear fully seated on the motor shaft. I'm employing a Z bearing mount originally designed by Bryan Mayland, further refined by Carl Feniak. This bearing mount utilizes an F608ZZ flanged bearing.
