Single XLR Switch fixture with a universal mount.
thingiverse
I was working on a scrapped design project at work that I felt had some useful elements to it. This exercise also showed how I would create a part and assembly drawing for a 3D printed fixture/mount/bracket. Several things were omitted from the drawings, such as part numbers and proprietary statements. This fixture can take any XLR panel mountable switch and provide strain relief. http://www.switchcraft.com/ProductSummary.aspx?Parent=1115 It could house any .375" OD cable. Hardware: 2X Screws #4-40 x 0.5 PNH 2x screws #4-40 x 0.5 82deg FLH 4x heat inserts #4-40 x ~.240 (can use smaller or larger length inserts) 1x zip tie for cable strain relief 2x labels sized 1.25 x 0.25 (if desired) 1x label sized 1 x 0.5 for labeling what the switch does, such as a power supply remote switch The hex slots are useful for any #8-xx nut and presses in flush. I recommend using four matching #8 screws, nuts, and washers for stable mounting. The slots provide more of a universal mounting option, but they don't cover every case.
