single row connector mold
thingiverse
This is a mold designed specifically to safeguard the soldering of pinhead connectors, providing a budget-friendly and swift way to create elastic connectors using hot glue. The mold should be printed using ABS or another plastic with a high melting point. Following printing, smoothing the surfaces with acetone is recommended, and it's crucial to use oil to prevent the hot glue from adhering to the mold. To produce the mold, some pressure is necessary while cooling; this process typically takes about two to three minutes to complete. After crafting the mold, a small drill bit can be used to open the hole, allowing for reuse. There are two molds available, one accommodating 4 and another accommodating 5 contacts.
