Single Print Ocarina

This awesome creation required a lot of experimenting and tons of ABS plastic to get just right... but the final product produces an impressive two full octaves! No need for gluing parts together or tuning - simply print and play! The latest 60-degree tone hole version goes from a smooth 311 Hz to a crisp 846 Hz. Enjoy! Here's what the original sounded like (367 to 785 Hz): https://youtu.be/0IR7k_Dgxpk ... and a baseball classic: https://youtu.be/EPKkUctNxvs If you print this, please kindly click "I Made One" and share pictures and videos! I love seeing what you create! December 8th, 2015 update: Here's a mid-sized ocarina with four holes: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1184228 February 2nd, 2016 update: added a V3 version with new tone hole which works better! Sept 11th, 2016 update: modified the tone hole to allow for firmer blows at higher notes and it produces a solid sound. Dec 21st, 2016 update: Fixed a mid-seam issue that printers using a layer height of .2mm or less may experience. Feb 15th, 2017 update: here's a game to help you recognize tones (yes, it has an exciting ending!): http://www.eenerd.com/JuliusStuff/Ocarina/story.html Dec 19th, 2018 update: added my gcode for those printers that prefer ReplicatorG over Cura. July 10th, 2019 update: added a STEP file for charity! Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 10% to 100% Notes: No supports necessary, just print as is. I used 10% infill, but you'll likely get the sharpest sound with 100% (and acetone vapor treatment). It plays right off the build plate!
