Single piece Y ends for Prusa i3

Single piece Y ends for Prusa i3

I've redesigned monolithic Y-end pieces for Prusa i3 printers, inspired by Lulzbot TAZ design. The OpenSCAD models are now parametric. STL files come with default settings for M8 smooth rods and M10 threaded rods. Customize your parts using the small sub assembly STLs included in the single-piece models. Replacing six printed parts, including corner pieces and motor/idler mounts, with these monolithic models eliminates shorter M8 rods, nuts, and bolts while requiring slightly more plastic. The design maintains the original elevation and spacing of the rods and centers motor/idler mounts for belt guidance. All corners have contoured tie-wrap guides for smooth rod holding. Motor ends feature an additional stepper motor mount with a foot, a 40mm fan receiver slot, and a tool-less endstop holder designed to fit a 20mm x 10mm micro end stop. Idler ends keep Prusa's tensioner capability by using X tensioner mounts. Wooden laser-cut frames require attaching motor ends to rear braces with M3 bolts and nuts, depending on the frame width.
