Single frame structural support
grabcad
Initially designed as a monolithic structure weighing 156 kg, this concept was chosen due to similar fixing effects when mounting under the train carriage, compared to attaching individual bars on loading boxes and hanging them onto the carriage. The two end bars remain unchanged from the initial design due to their strength, with UPN profile orientation optimized for maximum moment of inertia, ideal for resisting 3g longitudinal stresses along the X-axis. Additionally, two longitudinal beams assemble all other constraint points, resulting in short overhangs and ten fastening points that absorb most of the load, minimizing deformation. The weight loss benefits from high rigidity is considered a good compromise.
