I recently upgraded my vehicle's audio system by installing a Bluetooth-only setup controlled solely by a smartphone. This decision led me to repurpose the area where the head unit or tablet was previously housed as a storage compartment. I opted for this approach since neither of these components is now required. To achieve this, I plan to install a Bluetooth board inside the cubbyhole, which will eliminate the need for any additional hardware in that space. This modification promises to free up valuable room for other essential items. However, I am aware that my creation still requires thorough testing before it can be deemed reliable, especially considering the hot summer months ahead. The board was printed from ABS plastic, and I took additional precautions by incorporating 1mm stainless steel wire throughout its structure for added support. A coat of spray paint and a layer of Flex Seal were also applied to enhance its durability. While I am cautiously optimistic about the design's resilience, only time will reveal whether it can withstand the rigors of heat and heavy use without compromising its integrity.
