Bendrexl cleverly created an adapter from AA to D cell, but unfortunately, I didn't have a "brass fastener" on hand. Fortunately, I had a stash of loose screws that I could work with. I imported the file into Tinkercad and replaced the square hole with a 3mm screw hole. To assemble it, simply insert a 3Mx12 screw into the end so that it makes contact with the tip of the AA battery.
