Sinew vase #2 (Pencil holder)

Second in a Series...

Having created one vase now (Sinew vase #1) and liking the results, I've been meaning to get around to making another.

I got myself some Inland green PETG - my first PETG ever - and I truly wanted to show it off, particularly with how clear it can be. A vase it is... or maybe something else?

Dual Function

So, actually, I wanted a pencil holder. Something I could put on display at my desk at work. I opened up OnShape and got to work. I like the result but... I guess it still can be considered a vase?

Use it as you like it - except...

I guess purpose is also in the eye of the beholder. If this suits your fancy, please print, post your make, and maybe comment on how you plan on using it. Please keep your posts G-rated, however. And remember, while PETG might be (kinda) food-safe, 3D printed vessels are, as a rule, not. So, no, don't use this for food or drink, please.

Please post your make!

I love seeing what people make and how it turns out. If you have the time and actually make this, I would really appreciate you posting your make - it keeps me inspired.

If you really,really like it...

I do have a tip jar and I'll promise to put it towards more filament and not anything like basic necessities.

If you want to support me and get GREAT filament at the same time, please visit Proto-Pasta using my affiliate link and get yourself some excellent HTPLA!

God bless!

Print instructions

Category: Decor Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: i3 MK3

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: 0.2mm

Infill: 0%

Notes:

This was printed in vase mode - the object will look solid in your slicer. Be sure you look up how to turn vase mode on in your slicer's settings - every program is a little different.

For PETG, slow and hot is generally the rule to get that crystal look but every brand is different. Do some tests and see how yours behaves.
