Sinew vase #1

Innovative Designs with New Tools I'm constantly seeking out fresh skills and techniques to add to my arsenal. Recently, I decided to dive into OnShape and push myself to create something outside the norm. For years, I've been fascinated by the concept of a twisted vase. So, I set out to bring this vision to life in OnShape. After some trial-and-error experimentation, I landed on a design featuring two opposing twists that resulted in an intriguing sinew-like pattern. The combination of asymmetry on one axis and symmetry on another creates a captivating effect, balancing between the beauty of chaos and order. Although it might seem counterintuitive, this twisted vase can indeed hold water – albeit with some adjustments to your printing setup. You may need to use a larger nozzle in conjunction with shorter layer heights to achieve success. For a humorous demonstration of the vase's water-holding capabilities, check out this entertaining video: https://youtu.be/WcyIUXXModY
