Sine Wave Woven Basket
thingiverse
I wanted to shake things up for #waveywednesday so I merged my 3D weaving technique with a wicker basket designed using a sine wave formula. This can be achieved in multi-color or single color. To create the weaving effect with a single color, ensure that the posts and weave undergo different processes or they will blend together. Important: The design assumes an extrusion width of exactly 0.4mm, so for optimal results, you need to use a 0.4mm nozzle and set the extrusion width to 0.4mm. You can try using a different size nozzle, but then you must scale the entire model (for example, to use a 0.5mm nozzle, scale to 125%). Since I haven't tried it myself, I cannot guarantee its success. The suffix L is for the large model, and S for the small. You need all five STL files: base, post, weave1, weave2, and rim, and you must align the model origins. If you print this design, please upload a picture and tag me on Twitter @patterntoprint.
With this file you will be able to print Sine Wave Woven Basket with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Sine Wave Woven Basket.
