Sine wave - slew bearing

thingiverse

I originally created this sine wave design inspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:20177, but I encountered issues with ball bearings using BBs, so I crafted a three-part slew bearing system based on another design from that site. The two inner components bolt together, encasing the balls in between them. This setup rotates fairly well, although not nearly as smoothly as an actual ball-bearing mechanism. Once assembled, the entire unit cannot be disassembled. While it glides relatively smoothly, this assembly still requires some refinements. Specifically, adding more clearance to the BB track should enhance the movement of the balls and make it even smoother. Using 6mm BBs would also be beneficial. Printing the outer components in two halves instead of one can help minimize overhang defects.
