Machine shop tools that offer various ways to hold a work piece at any desired angle. Professional shops utilize standard sized 5 inch and 3 inch sine bars to establish precise angles accurately. (In order to use sine bars, gage blocks are required; for instructions on how to use, please refer to the instruction tab.) The angle block set is an efficient alternative method of setting a specific angle quickly. The triangle blocks feature built-in angles at 5 degrees, 10 degrees, and 30 degrees that can be stacked to achieve any desired angle between 5-45 degrees in 5 degree increments. (To adjust the angle downward, reverse the blocks). The J shaped holder keeps them securely locked together, preventing accidental shifting. Steel Sine Bar on Amazon: http://amzn.to/28OzfdX Instructions To set a precise angle using a sine bar and stack of blocks, calculate the sine of the desired angle on your calculator and multiply the result by the distance between the centers of the cylinders in the sine bar. (Either 5 inches or 3 inches). Assemble a block assembly equal to this value and position it underneath one cylinder. With a digital angle indicator, you can set one end of the sine bar onto a machinist jack and adjust it until you have precisely achieved the desired angle. Holes in the Sine Bar are designed for mounting with 5/16" bolts and are evenly spaced to enable easy attachment to the 1-2-3 Block Set: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:584470
