Sinden Trigger Fix Mod
thingiverse
Trigger fix mod for the Sinden Lightgun. Doesn't require any permanent changes and works with recoil or non recoil guns. If you find the Sinden trigger has too much play in either direction, this might be the print for you. If you prefer more trigger play than this print allows, you can easily break or cut off either of the raised tabs to give you more play. The blue on blue 3d print is harder to see in the first 2 pictures however the black print should show the non recoil print better. I've added in the recoil version on the red gun to better see how they compare and to show that you can also use the recoil version on the non recoil version to save weight and print time. To install: Simply open the gun up (be careful of the capacitor on the recoil models, they can hurt you) and don't forget the two screws at the bottom on the reload pump. Pull out the trigger and the spring, paying close attention to their orientation. (The right side sits lower than the left). Put the spring through the little hole on the printed piece just below the right tab in the indentation. If the spring doesn't fit through the hole (likely due to an imperfect print), slide it back and forth a few times from the opposite side until it slides in easily. You can see how it should sit in the second red gun picture. Place the printed piece back into the gun body while making sure the spring stays above the guard on the right and the screw mount on the left (look at included pictures if unsure). Then simply move the left side of the spring a bit up as you put the trigger back in. Make sure to push everything down into the gun well so the trigger doesn't rub when you reassemble. You should be able to feel the reduced trigger play even before putting the gun back together however if you feel it's too limiting, simply break or cut off either of the two tabs. Back is preferable if you want to shoot faster, front is preferable if you like to slightly cock the trigger before the switch gets activated. It shouldn't require anything else however if you find the trigger too tight make sure the print is pushed down nicely. You can also slightly shave or sand the rounded portion that sits around the bottom of the trigger guard since the gun shell is rounded there and it might not be sitting flat. Typical if you're getting elephant feet from too hot a print bed. Lastly, it's not a bad idea to throw some grease around the trigger as well as the pump area while you have the gun open. There's a few videos out there that tell you how to do it on the Sindens as well as which grease you should be using in it.
