Here is a rare and intriguing find - the never-released Sinclair QL Microdrive, hidden away from public view. A single advertisement image survives, hinting at its existence, but unfortunately, the original prototype seems to have vanished into thin air. A notable individual named Rick was heavily involved in designing this elusive device, although his true identity remains a mystery. It is unclear whether he was aware of the microdrive's fate - never reaching the market. To make matters even more fascinating, this design includes provisions for accommodating the vDrive accessory, which itself was also destined to remain a development prototype. This creative adaptation allows users to host the vDrive within the microdrive housing, essentially repurposing it as a functional unit. Three distinct files have been created: one from the bottom, another from the original top, and a modified version designed specifically for vDrive users who wish to showcase their device.
