Simucube 2 Sport SRC Formula Chassis Mount
thingiverse
I was struggling to locate a horizontal-to-vertical mount for the Simucube 2 motor due to extensive backorders, so I created a 3D printable model. This mount fits perfectly with the SRC-FX Formula from SimRaceComponents. It's incredibly robust at a 0.2mm layer height and required about 32 hours to print on my Ender 3 using 15% infill. I utilized clear PETG from ICE Filaments, along with 5 perimeter walls and 5 bottom/top layers for enhanced strength when mounting the M8 screws and the heavy motor. The entire print consumed approximately half of a 750g 1.75mm spool. I recommend keeping support material for the motor shaft through-hole to a minimum as this significantly reduces printing time, although this may vary depending on individual printer specifications. It's essential to ensure bed clips are not obstructing the mount base, given that my Ender 3 bed is only marginally wider than the base.
