Simucube 2 Sport/Pro Power Supply Mounts
pinshape
I created custom mounts to attach the dual Simucube power supply units that came with my SC2 Pro. The sport comes with just one power supply unit, which is the same type as the ones I'm using, so these mounts should work perfectly there too. There are two files available, one for the "top" of the power supply unit, which features a small blue light and a permanently attached cord that goes to the wheel base, and the other is for the "bottom," where the AC power comes in. As a beginner in designing 3D models, I'm still figuring out how to print these without extensive support structures. Luckily, I have access to a dual extrusion Ultimaker, which allowed me to print the support with PVA (water-soluble) material. To successfully print one power supply unit, you'll need to print both files; if you're using a Pro and need to support two units, simply print two copies of each. The mount is designed with M8 screws in mind, as I use them on my SimLabs P1, which is made of 80/20 profile Series 40. You can install the mount horizontally or vertically, depending on your specific needs. Printed using: Ultimaker S5 with Ultimaker Tough PLA Black material Layer height is 0.1mm; you might consider increasing it to print faster. Wall width is four layers, and infill is 20% gyroid; however, there's minimal infill happening, so this detail may not be crucial. It took two days and a quarter to print all four pieces simultaneously.
