SIMTOO Fairy XT175 arm replacement
thingiverse
My 3D printer crashed and shattered the critical clips that enable rotation and secure the arm to the body. I've attempted to duplicate the arm in FreeCAD but have failed to print it in a way that prevents the clips from breaking... printing it upright with support is the most straightforward approach, but creates extremely fragile inter-layer strength in Z for the clips. Update: I modified the design of the clips so they now form a solid structure. This change requires a counter cap to hold the arm in place instead of the clips. Update2: My 3D printer has resumed operation, and the design is now finalized. The ideal snap-fit is remarkably sensitive to extrusion width, so your results may differ significantly! Furthermore, I discovered that I didn't need the cap, as the snap was strong enough to securely hold the arm in place.
