Lanceolate spear point unearthed at Site 31On37 in Onslow County, North Carolina. Located in a region known as the Middle Paleoindian period, spanning from approximately 10,800 to 10,500 years before present. Crafted from metavolcanic rock, this ancient tool measures 108.7 mm in length, 34.6 mm in width, and 7.4 mm in thickness. Cataloged as no. 2299a12, the spear point is now part of the North Carolina Archaeological Collection at the Research Laboratories of Archaeology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
