Simplistic Shopping Bag Handle (Customizable)
thingiverse
This is a very simple and non fancy handle for textile shopping bags. I recently had to carry two heavy bags around and it wasn't fun. The textile handles rolled into a thin pipe like handle and pulled into my hands. I looked at available handle, but they were too fancy, over engineered, designed for thin plastic bags or to small for bigger hands. So I did a quick and dirty design in FreeCAD to get a proper handle matching my needs. That is what 3D printing is all about, right? I printed this thing using ABS to give it strength, a little flex and the design itself is big enough to withstand a lot abuse before breaking. It is suitable for at least two bags at once. If your hands are big enough you automatically seal the opening at the handle, so the strings do not get out by accident. This shouldn't be a problem anyway, but when you e.g. like to jump home, there may be an issue, here. I probably will update this design if it needs an improvement in that department, but initial tests worked fine. As always I included the FreeCAD parametric source file, so you can change the sizes and shape to your personal need.
