Simplisafe Base Station Wall Mount & Speaker Horn
thingiverse
This is a base station wall mount for a Gen 2 Simplisafe security system. The mount uses 2 standard drywall screws. I would suggest using drywall anchors or make sure you find a stud to drill into. The top section slides on after you mount the bottom section to the wall. The top prevents it from falling, however the bottom is cupped enough that it still stays securely in place. Bottom power cord hole allow you to plug it in after you have mounted it, but I found it easier to just fish the cord though and connecting it, before setting the base station in place. I also make a speaker horn so it will project the sound though out my automotive shop, so when the front door opens, I can hear it better. The horn doesn't amplify, rather redirects the sound from straight up to outwards. I tested it wil a dB meter and it was on average about 15-20 db louder at the other end of my shop. Print the base station upright. Print the top section upside down. No need for supports. The horn, I printing horn side down with supports on the slip fit mounting area. I made the attachment part a little smaller so it was a tight fit. You may have to sand it down about .5mm to make it fit. You could also print it at 102.5%. I would test that bottle part before commiting to the final print.
