This innovative CubeSat concept leverages Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) of Aluminum AlSi10Mg to decrease part count, lighten the frame, and enhance strength in a single solution. Additive manufacturing optimizes the CubeSat's structure strength while minimizing weight via a two-dimensional truss within a truss design and integrated studs for payload mounting that dissipate heat through direct conduction. The design is unattainable with standard techniques or materials due to its uni-body construction. It also simplifies assembly by requiring only three major components - the main frame, access panel, and payload cap - and just 12 fasteners for securing payloads and the access panel.
