Simplified Calibration Test

Simplified Calibration Test

thingiverse

I've tried numerous calibration tests and temperature towers on Thingiverse, but ultimately, what I need to know boils down to four key questions: 1. Will it extrude a consistent string? 2. Will it successfully bridge gaps of 20mm or more? 3. Can it print a sharp overhang without sagging at 70°? 4. Will it produce a fine point that won't snap when pressed? To save time and optimize my settings, I often opt for quick tweaks rather than printing large towers that test various parameters all at once. Starting with the recommended settings on the filament label and then fine-tuning them through multiple iterations is usually the most efficient approach. This model has a few challenging features that are perfect for testing print settings: two sharp points prone to stringing, a 20mm bridge, a 70° overhang, and a 20x20mm base for x/y calibration checks. Plus, it prints in under 10 minutes – making it an ideal time-saver. While this model may not replace more detailed calibration tools, I find that it's the perfect solution when fine-tuning settings for new filaments. Give it a try and see if you find it as useful as I do!
