Turned out my derailleur tension gear - a part of my bike I newer paid any attention to - is completely worn down. Up to a point where I wasn't able to make out any gears at all or count the teeth or move it with my fingers. Good news though: It's made of plastic. So I just redesigned the part to a shape that I imagine would be similar to original and it worked out to be a perfect fit. It fits simplex type of gear shift systems or whatever these things are called and in my case it's mounted on a Puch Clubman street bike from the 80ies or so. Print Settings Printer: P220 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0,25mm Infill: 100% Filament: 3dxtech PEI-GF30 natural Notes: I guess this isn't a requirement but since I had to tune in some settings for this fancy high-performance filament, I used this part as a test print and it turned out almost perfect. Layer adhesion though still leaves a bit to desire - at 400°C nozzle! Guess an ambient temp of 180°C still isn't enough. As so often with my designs I didn't make a lot of compromises in order to make it printable, so use it with a lot of support. And maybe some temperature resistant rigid material... I guess polycarbonate would be fine, maybe even PETG? Category: Sport & Outdoors
