With eight months of flawless performance, my original design remains robust; however, it was not designed to accommodate the new MakerBot spools that measure 1ft in diameter. To address this issue, I've revised the design featuring a larger base, stiffer uprights due to increased height, and proportionally sized beams. Keeping it simple is key - no complex features, just essential functionality. For printing, you'll need 1 base, 1 beam, and 2 uprights (flip them so the point faces up when printed). Use 2 shells and 10% infill for a sturdy print. Assembly is easy - slot the uprights into the base, add a few drops of super glue, and let it dry. No need for rounded corners, fillets, or intricate areas to print - just straightforward, utilitarian design.
