For 1 kg rolls, I crafted this spool holder as an alternative to traditional designs that rely heavily on plastic components. The result is a lightweight yet robust spool holder weighing only 43 grams, perfect for my FLSUN printer. Thus far, it has performed flawlessly without any issues. To enhance stability and prevent slipping on hardwood floors or desktops, I recommend applying electric tape strips to the printed holder once assembled. Additionally, this design requires two empty receipt paper rolls, which are often discarded at workplaces, including mine. If you're looking for a creative way to upcycle these rolls, simply ask your local cashier for a couple of them, and they'll likely be happy to oblige. Assembly is straightforward; just apply super glue to the hexagonal rings to secure everything in place. This spool holder works optimally with bottom-fed printers.
