SimpleHuman 58L Dual Trash Can Hinge Brackets
thingiverse
There's probably a better word than hinge, but these are the two brackets with the holes that the pegs on the lid fit into to let it swivel open. I broke one of ours off accidentally, meaning the lid wouldn't stay on, let alone flip open via the foot pedal. This was my first shot at the design, and while it's not perfectly 1:1, it's pretty close. The only post-printing prep I did was to use my Dremel to sand away the remainder of the broken piece still on the base of the trash can. I used superglue to affix the piece to the base, although as seen in the photo, I actually put a piece of blue painter's tape onto the can and superglued to that - if it didn't work, I wanted to be able to easily remove it. After about a day, it's still working; I'll probably keep the tape there until it has an issue, at which point I'm fine gluing directly to the can. Figured 0.3mm lines were fine since the piece is hidden. It took 22 mins to print, IIRC, and about 5g of filament. Printing on the flat, closed side as is most natural, and you won't need supports.
