Simple Wire Clip

Simple Wire Clip

I do not like zip ties and I needed a simple way to keep my wires organized for my 3D printer build. This is just a basic clip that has a small gap to slide wires into without them being stuck permanently. Just push the wires in (up to 14 gauge, lower if your filament is more flexible) and they won't fall out. Although, if you hang or orient this wrong, they might possibly. The edges are rounded so they won't snag the wires going in or out and it's flexible enough in standard PLA to move the "mouth" open a bit. If I ever get around to getting some flex filament, I'll make another one with an even smaller gap. This was specific to me, I needed to store about 20 small gauge wires together along a lengthy stretch. I printed these, added a little 3M tape on the bottom and instant wire holders. No more rats nest and no zip ties for me to carefully cut down the road! This is fairly large at 22mm deep, so it's really meant for a run of multiple wires grouped together, rather than one or two. Print Settings: Printer: Prusa i3 MK2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 or .3 Infill: 10% (higher for less flex) Notes: Prints in either vertical or horizontal position. I liked the vertical print a little better but it required supports. The one in the picture is horizontally printed and you can see one edge that was on the bed did not benefit from the rounded edges, but either way, it works.
