Simple Visor
myminifactory
Updated: Slightly revised version hb024h5 is uploaded. Added some beveled edges and a hole at the end for alternative methods to fasten. This should be stackable.A simple visor for first line healthcare workers or anyone in need of a cheap face protection device.I started doing this as most other designs means the clear visor sheets must be punched for holes, and I wanted to avoid that. This design makes use of clear A4 cover sheets for leaflets (most office supplies stores should have an alternative). The gap for the plastic sheet is 0.3mm, made for 0.25mm (250my) Esselte Leitz, but the 0.18mm (180my) will also work - and locks properly when the visor is worn. Thinner sheets may or may not work, but if the sheet does not stick, a piece of clear packing tape on the outside will keep the sheet in place. To use the frame you need some kind of rubber band or similar. Fabric woven rubber with holes for buttons are most suitable, but only the imagination will stop you.For comfort, a rubber seal for doors/windows with double-sided tape on the back can be used.
