SIMPLE V-BLOCKS

SIMPLE V-BLOCKS

thingiverse

Here is a set of simple v-blocks in 3 different sizes that are super handy for drilling holes in round objects. The hole in the middle provides clearance when the drill breaks through, giving you more room to maneuver. Screenshots show a sample of use and how to put them to work. By placing the block on its end, you can easily drill down the axis of your project. Still, remember to center pop the position of the hole because the drill will wander on the curved surface when drilling. Print Settings: Rafts: Whatever you like Supports: Whichever option you prefer Resolution: Choose a resolution between 0.1mm and 0.2mm. Notes: It's best to print these v-blocks in the orientation they are found in the STL files. This is because the surface of the v is flatter when printed at an angle and not made up of steps. However, keep in mind that they still need a little TLC after printing.
