A cost-effective, build-from-scratch sensor design features both an emitter and receiver. The upper and lower case of the sensor can be crafted via machining or injection molding. To enhance durability and water resistance, these electronic components are housed in aluminum casings. High-temperature resistant silicone seals not only secure the emitters and receivers but also act as dampers. The electronic parts are kept separate from the sensor assembly for added safety, with a tank/sensor gasket included in the design.
