Simple Tweezers

Simple Tweezers

I've been dabbling with some everyday tools and ended up with something that's both simple and surprisingly effective – a pair of 3D-printed tweezers. They're just 81mm x 25mm x 7mm and use a mere 3 grams of filament, but don't let their lightweight design fool you.The Specs:Size: Compact at 81mm long, 25mm wide, and 7mm thick.Weight: Featherlight at approximately 3 grams – talk about a filament-friendly design!Material: Printed in PLA for a balance of flexibility and strength. The Features:Built-In Spring: The coolest part? I've designed a spring mechanism right into the tweezers using the filament itself. This means they naturally spring back into their original shape after each squeeze.Grip: Despite their simplicity, these tweezers have a surprisingly good grip. Whether you're dealing with splinters or small electronic components, they've got you covered. The Experience:Using them feels pretty intuitive – squeeze to grip, release to let go, and the spring action brings them right back to their starting position. It's a neat little example of how 3D printing can create moving parts in a single print. So, if you're in need of tweezers or just want to test out a quick print with a functional outcome, give these a try. They're a small, simple addition to your toolkit, but sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference.Happy printing and plucking!
