Simple tin can cover (for the inner sharp edge)

Upcycle the empty tin can by covering its sharp inner edge and giving it new life as a simple planter or storage container for painting tools, pens, or pet treats. This design ensures that the tin can doesn't snap apart, thanks to its slightly wider diameter, making it always fit snugly in place. Fill any gaps with your favorite glue and press the tin can firmly into position. This lid is specifically tailored to fit German cat food tin cans measuring approximately 75mm in diameter; however, you may need to adjust the size according to your country's standard. To start upcycling, remove the paper from the tin can or leave it on for added understanding. I prefer keeping the paper intact as it provides better insight into the design process. Keep in mind that the lid was printed quickly, resulting in a lower print quality due to PLA material limitations. The bottom of the lid measures 1mm, while the walls are 0.8mm thick. For optimal results, consider printing with 0.2 layer thickness, five bottom layers, and two wall layers to achieve a 100% infill. This design uses minimal filament and prints relatively fast, making it perfect for using up leftover spool material. I attempted to create a taller version of the lid that would cover the entire can but encountered an issue: the top of the tin can is wider than expected, resulting in a poor outcome.
